Maria Thorson is the Program Manager for the Program on Governance and Local Development (GLD). She has a B.A. in psychology and an M.A. in societal psychology from the University of Gothenburg. She has previously worked as an assistant researcher and consultant at the Department of Psychology at the University of Gothenburg, Sahlgrenska Academy, and Queen Silvia Children’s Hospital. Her previous research experience includes environmental psychology, developmental psychology, medical research, and educational research.
Sebastian is GLD’s data manager since August. He has an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Greifswald (Germany) and previously worked as a research assistant at the Chair of International Relations and the Chair of Early Modern History (both at the University of Greifswald). His research interests focus on migration in and between developing countries and whether project aid has any effect on migration patterns on a sub-national level.
