Benjamin is currently undertaking a master’s degree in International Administration and Global Governance at the University of Gothenburg where he is pursuing such interests as emerging powers in the global south and international security. Before joining the Program on Governance and Local Development Benjamin held a number of positions including election strategist for a presidential campaign in Africa and web editor for a publication house specializing in political, business and cultural affairs. He received his bachelor’s degree in Politics and History from the School of Oriental and African Studies and has since been drawn to issues involving development economics, democratisation and political regime types in sub-Saharan Africa.
Nesrine Ben Brahim
Nesrine holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Oxford. Before joining GLD, Nesrine was working for the Danish Refugee Council in Greece. Nesrine has experience working on several research projects with Princeton University, PRIO, LSE, and Oxford, as well as NGOs in Tunisia and the UK. Her research interests include state fragility, governance, and development with a focus on the MENA region. She is fluent in Arabic and French.
