GLD received 7.8 million SEK from the Swedish Research Council

On November 3rd, GLD were awarded 7.8 million SEK (approx. 865,000 USD) from the Swedish Research Council for a research project on Social Institutions and Governance: Lessons from Sub-Saharan Africa. The project will run from 2017-2020 and will involve large data collections in Tanzania, Zambia and Kenya. The generosity of the Swedish Research Council will enable GLD to study social institutions and governance by doing surveys on a representative sample of the populations of the three countries as well as experiments, focus groups, and stakeholder interviews.
