First Annual GLD Conference

GLD held its first annual conference “Seeking Solutions” on the 11-12 May in Hindås, Sweden. The conference focused on the ways in which ordinary citizens attempt to resolve the challenges faced in their daily lives. We thank the more than 50 participants from over 15 countries, including researchers and policy practitioners, for their invaluable contributions to these important issues.

Workshops and Conferences on Radicalization and Violent Extremism
GLD, the Center for Mediterranean Integration and the World Bank co-hosted a two-day workshop entitled, “Measuring Radicalization."

GLD, in partnership with the UNDP Oslo Governance Centre (OGC), hosted two panels at the Segerstedt Institute's conference, "Risks, Roots and Responses: Nordic Conference on Research on Violent Extremism.”

GLD and UNDP OGC held a workshop entitled "Toward a Better Measurement and Understanding of Radicalization, Support for Violence, and Adherence to Political Groups" bringing together academics and practitioners to discuss problems of measurement and program implementation.

We sincerely thank all of our partners for the important insights their participation in these events yielded.
