Ghadeer Hussein, Associate Researcher

Ghadeer holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Cairo University and a master’s degree in Development Studies from Lund University. She wrote her thesis with the Department of Political Science on entrepreneurship and integration of Syrian refugees in Jordan and Tukey.  Ghadeer is interested in governance, migration, refugees’ integration, and post-conflict development in the MENA region. She has previously worked for international NGOs supporting refugees and asylum seekers in Egypt. Prior to joining GLD, Ghadeer was a research intern at the School of Global Studies at the University of Gothenburg. She was supporting the Social Institutions, Political Governance, and Integration (SIPGI) project that focuses on local migration governance in Jordan, Turkey, and Sweden.
