Alexa Marsh, Research Intern

Alexa joined GLD as a research intern in early July. She is a rising senior at Princeton University in the School of Public and International Affairs. As an undergraduate, she has studied abroad at the University of Bologna and the University of Cape Town, and she has interned at the Center for the Study of Democracy in Sofia, Bulgaria. She is interested in nationalism and national identity, far-right parties, and gender. Her past projects include Populism 2.0: How QAnon Exploits Femininity to Win Women Recruits, A “Demographic Winter”: Pronatalist Discourse and Policy in Far-RightItaly, and research on social protection policies in Sub-Saharan Africa.
