Kate Baldwin, Associate Professor of Political Science at Yale University.

Kate studies political accountability, state building and the politics of development, with a regional focus on sub-Saharan Africa. Kate is the author of the book The Paradox of Traditional Chiefs in Democratic Africa (New York: Cambridge University Press, 2016) and the book manuscript Bulwarks Against Autocracy: Churches, Education and Autonomy in sub-Saharan Africa.
