Prisca Jöst 

Prisca Jöst, Postdoc at Philipps-University Marburg. 

Prisca Jöst is a Postdoc at the University of Marburg in Germany, working in the “Politicians, Policies, and the Reproduction of Wealth (PoWeR)” project. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Gothenburg. Before joining the University of Marburg, she was a Postdoc at the Cluster of Excellence, “The Politics of Inequality” at the University of Konstanz, and held visiting researcher positions at the University of Mannheim and Yale. Prisca combines qualitative and quantitative methods in her work, particularly survey and experimental methods and in-depth field research. Her work investigates under which conditions poor and unemployed citizens participate in protests and election campaigns or contribute to community welfare. She also studies the role of local leaders in mobilizing citizens to engage politically. Her work has appeared in internationally recognized journals such as World Development and Comparative Political Studies, among others.
