Bassam Nasser is a research intern at GLD, who works with the GLD in the MENA project.

Bassam is a junior researcher with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and a Master’s degree in Political Philosophy. His main interests and areas of expertise include normative ethics, political philosophy, policy analysis, international affairs, and Middle Eastern studies. Bassam’s academic accomplishments include the publication of a peer-reviewed academic article on secession theories in Tabayyun, a leading Arabic academic journal. Bassam has also worked with a number of notable institutions and organizations, including Mercy Corps and the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs (IFI).
