Emmanuel Kwabena Asare is a research intern at GLD during the fall of 2023.

Emmanuel holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. He is currently pursuing his final year as an MSc student in political science at the University of Gothenburg. Prior to this, Emmanuel worked as an Assistant Director at the Asante Akim South Municipal Assembly under the local government service in Ghana. His research focuses on the local factors driving governance and development, corruption, democracy, and the quality of government.
