Postdoctoral Researcher
Evgenia is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Political Science at the University of Gothenburg, where she works with the Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) Institute and the Governance and Local Development (GLD) Institute. She holds a PhD in Public Administration with a concentration in Survey Methodology, and her research focuses on measurement error and experimental approaches to understanding response behavior and improving survey measurement. Her methodological expertise includes questionnaire evaluation and testing, survey experiments, psychometric analysis, response behavior, and the assessment of measurement validity and cross-cultural comparability.
Her doctoral research examined the validity and reliability of social desirability measures and response tendencies, while her broader work has addressed question wording, response scales, survey modes, sampling strategies, and data quality. More broadly, she is interested in developing survey methods that improve the validity, reliability, and cross-national comparability of data used to study governance, democracy, and public opinion.
