Ezra Karmel

Ezra works at the intersection of research and development programming, managing large-scale research and monitoring initiatives that translate complex data into policy-relevant insights. He has supported programmes funded by a range of donors, currently working as the Research, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Lead for a multi-donor community security programme in Syria. Ezra’s research interests include decentralization, public policy, and elections in authoritarian and post-conflict contexts. His research has primarily focused on the Middle East where he has been living and working for more than a decade. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Guelph.
